Very sorry for your brother's loss Lynn. I feel my brother's complete existence was just wiped out when he died. Everyone moved on with their lives. Very few brought him up in conversations. So I found comfort in talking about my brother even if it was to strangers asking. Our siblings still exist in some rearranged form and our bond with them will always be alive. Peace and hugs to you.
