This is so important Deborah. Children really don’t know what is not okay and that makes it easier for the abuser to get away with it. I am thankful for the Michael Jackson Neverland documentary. My kids didn't watch it, but I used it as a starting point to have an in-depth discussion with them about how people are not what they appear to be and to be careful.

I explained the things that no person has a right to do to their body and also how they are in the same way not supposed to do that to anybody else.

We live in scary times, you are right more education is needed on this. I have also realized with kids that just talking with them once about something is not enough. We have to keep explaining it to them till it really sinks in.

Really sorry for what you had to endure at a very young age.
