Thanks, D Abboh for this story. I’m with you on this. I had a similar incident. I was at a big sporting center which was very crowded with my 10-year-old son. He had to wash his hands. My husband wasn’t there, so I didn’t want to send him alone to the men’s restroom. So, I took him with me to the women’s restroom just to wash his hands. As soon as he was in, a lady started yelling at me with disgust for bringing my son in there.

I told her he was just washing his hands for 10 secs while I was standing there. He was not even using the restroom. She still went on about me not being able to read signs. I really wanted to give her a piece of my mind but kept quiet and left.

I believe it’s better to be safe than sorry. I don’t regret taking him in there at all no matter what anyone says.
