Thanks for your response. I agree every First Lady has faced criticism of some sorts. It comes with the job. While previous First Ladies embraced the role with their respective causes, Melania was content to take a back seat. She was criticized significantly for her low profile and for failing to use her platform.

But she was not the one who stood for election or the one who promised to serve the country, it was her husband. It was his ambition, not hers. Sure maybe she enjoyed the fame and perks. But we shouldn’t be expecting her to turn into a political spouse if that doesn’t interest her.

Yes, I agree she is no way a poor abused spouse who has to put up with a maniacal, cheating spouse. She calls the shots and is going to walk away from Trump stronger.
